Andy and his friends are back for another adventurous and action packed journey. He is now 17 and prepares to depart for a new life in college, leaving behind his childhood toys who are mistakenly donated to Sunnyside Daycare centre. Unable to leave his owner, Woody escapes from the establishment while Buzz and the rest of the gang are excited to hear of their new life. But to their horror, they are tormented by the children and toys and discover the truth behind the centre that is run by Lotso bear, a mean and broken-hearted bear.
The gang formulate an escape plan to get past Lotso and his night-watch team, only to hear that there is just one way out- through the garbage chute.
Another journey has begun.
